Pieces of Heart

There are 40 Pieces of Heart in Echoes of Wisdom. Every four you collect adds a heart to Zelda's life meter, so finding them all gives you ten extra hearts. They're grouped by region below. Many are out in the open but need a little climbing, which usually means stacking echoes like beds, boxes or tables into a staircase. Others are rewards for minigames and side quests.

You can't reach them all straight away. The first few in Suthorn are available as soon as you escape the castle dungeon, most of the rest open up after the Suthorn Ruins, and the side-quest rewards come later as each region's rift is closed.

Suthorn (5)

  1. Suthorn Beach: on a high ledge above the beach. Stack beds or boxes into steps to climb up to it.

  3. Suthorn Village: sold in the village shop for 80 Rupees.
  4. Suthorn Forest: in a cave full of Caromadillos. Defeat them and use the Caromadillo echo (or an Ignizol) to get rid of the crates in the way.
  5. Suthorn Prairie: on top of a tall pillar in the northeast. Build a staircase of beds to reach it; a Crawltula can help with the last stretch.

  4. Mango Rush: at the Gerudo Oasis, unlock the Ultimate Seed difficulty and harvest all 70 mangoes. The Dancing Outfit helps.
  5. Wild Sandstorms: defeat the two Lanmolas roaming the desert, then talk to the guard in the Gerudo Palace training room to start this side quest. Defeat the purple Lanmola in the eastern desert, grabbing its tail to pull it out of the sand, and it drops the piece.
